The Honeycrisp:

Sunrise Orchards Honeycrisp apples are typically available

starting mid-September

Honeycrisp apples have a crisp texture and sweet flavor that make them a versatile ingredient for both raw and cooked preparations.  

Honeycrisp apples are known for their excellent storage capabilities and outstanding flavor.  This variety can be stored for several months when refrigerated.

 The apples will be carefully packed in a special protective box, to ensure arriving in excellent condition. It’s located about five miles east of Sunrise Orchards at the intersection of highways 61 and 171.

Our goal is to maintain the friendly atmosphere and excellent service Hillcrest is known for while adding a touch of Sunrise's distinctive flavor.

You can also remove the skin and slow cook the sliced apples to make delicious applesauce, preserves, or apple butter.

The versatility of Honeycrisp apples also extends to freezing. The combination of the sweet apple and savory fillings will surely elevate your sandwich game.

If you prefer cooked dishes, Honeycrisp apples maintain their sweetness even when baked.

  EverCrisp maintain their sweetness and firmness extremely well when stored in a refrigerator.  This is available to those in the Spee-Dee Delivery Service area (WI, IA, IL, MN, SD, ND).  This service is available end of August - Mid October.
